CUSTOMER SALES AGENT - SAMOA

As the Customer Sales Agent, you will ensure excellent service standard. You will provide product/service delivery, information and resolve product enquiries. This position will report to Country Sales Manager Samoa.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide information on schedules, fares, accommodation, rental cars, tour packages, immigration and general information;
  • Compile booking and provide courteous ticketing services;
  • Identify and assess customers’ needs to achieve good customer satisfaction;
  • Provide support and advice for customer service handling, fares and ticketing issues;
  • Provide accurate, valid and complete information  to clients & Assist in resolving customer complaints; 
  • Follow up and advice customers on clearance of bookings, provide pricing strategies for group handling and special events;
  • Issue airline tickets, ETKTS, PTA’s, EMDs and airline documents ;
  • Resolve accounting discrepancy queries and minimization of Agency Debit Memos (ADMs);
  • Provide information on visa requirements and rescheduled flights;
  • Collect ticket payments and process refunds;
  • Compile and complete Daily Sales Returns (DSR);
  • Responsible for security of ticket cash and cheque proceeds;
  • Check DSR’s daily and dispatch accountable documents to Finance;
  • Obtain regular feedback from customers on service improvements;
  • Attend to other duties/tasks as and when required to by immediate Supervisor or Manager.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

  • A minimum of a Pass in High School Leaving Certificate or Year 12;
  • Amadeus Reservations and Ticketing experience (working knowledge);
  • Fares & Ticketing Stage I, II & III;
  • At least 2 years’ experience in a customer service environment;
  • Minimum 1 years’ experience in airlines sales and ticketing;
  • Have sound knowledge of the IATA Rules and Regulations;
  • Good sales skills and technique;
  • Excellent communication skills with good telephone etiquettes;
  • Proficient with Microsoft packages;
  • General background knowledge of the Tourism and Airline industry.
